Meeting 2 - Alliance for the Prevention of Mental Disorders (APMD) Conference 2023

The Alliance for the Prevention of Mental Disorders (APMD) would like to invite you to the 4th APMD Conference, to be held immediately prior to the 2023 Society for Mental Health Research (SMHR) Conference in Perth, Australia. The APMD 2023 Conference will be held from 11am – 4pm on Tuesday 28th November 2023 at the Rendezvous Hotel Perth Scarborough. The Conference will include interactive discussions focusing on the latest Australian research relating to the prevention of mental health problems.

Registration is available as part of the SMHR 2023 Conference Registration. The $100 registration fee covers room hire and catering. Conference registration via the SMHR Delegate Online Registration form once this opens.

Confirmed speakers for the day include:
Dr Yael Perry, Telethon Kids Institute. Yael’s research focuses on the prevention of mental health difficulties in young people, with particular emphasis on marginalised populations (such as LGBTQA+ young people) and their families.

Dr Amy Morgan, University of Melbourne. Amy will present her research focused on Community-based mental health promotion in rural and regional Victoria.

Prof Maree Teesson AC, University of Sydney. Maree will present her research focused on the preventing the rising tide of mental ill-health among adolescence.
