Session Format
We ask you to meet your Session Chair at the Speaker Presentation Room at least 30 minutes prior to the session commencing to run through any last minute details. Please then make your way to your session room at least 15 minutes before the scheduled start of your session so that the audio visual technician in the room can connect any required microphones and conduct any necessary sound checks.
At the start of the session, the Session Chair will acknowledge the session sponsor, introduce the session, and introduce the presenters. Your session will then be run as per the details confirmed in advance by the Session Chair to the Conference Office, following you and your co-presenter/s conversations with them. If applicable, the Session Chair will facilitate the question and answer component of your session at the time agreed to by you and your fellow session participants prior to the Conference.
Your presentation submitted in advance of the Conference will have already been forwarded to your session room.
The smooth running of the Conference program depends on all presenters keeping to the allocated time for each session. Your Session Chair will discuss with you in advance of the Conference the time allocated for your presentation. Onsite, a screen containing a countdown timer for time remaining in your presentation will be visible to you from the stage. We encourage you to rehearse your presentation before the Conference to ensure that your presentation keeps to the time allocated.
Audience Q&A
Unless otherwise advised to the Conference Office by your Session Chair, the audience will be able to submit questions throughout your presentation via the Conference app. These questions will be moderated throughout the session by the Session Chair who will then - time permitting - relay selected questions to you at the end of your presentation.
