As Oscar Wilde once quipped, "Life is too important to be taken seriously." In this spirit of whimsy coupled with intellectual vigour, we are delighted to invite you to a dinner debate designed to both provoke thought and provoke laughter in equal measure.
Our central enigma of the evening pertains to the intriguing realm of novel AR inhibitors in metastatic prostate cancer. These relatively new therapeutics have taken centre stage in our treatment arsenals along with conventional ADT. Their advent has necessitated thoughtful discussion and collaboration across specialties, and it's the delineation of these roles that brings us to our delightful debate twist.
In a dance of role reversal, our esteemed urologist, ordinarily a master of surgical intervention, will passionately argue the case for medical oncologists being the sole custodians of AR inhibitors. Meanwhile, our distinguished oncologist, typically immersed in the world of systemic therapies, will stand resolute in defence of the urologists' role in prescribing.
An evening promising insightful conversation, delightful camaraderie, and a hearty dose of good humour awaits us.
